I like the idea of having an air compressor in the car. The unit that comes with the car can only be used to push the goo in the tires.
The problem is finding a place to store it.
I just found this unit that might be of interest to some of you guys. :

Paul,
I have tested the supplied compressor without goo and as just a tyre pump and it worked perfectly OK.
Of course being just 12V it would take a while to fully inflate a really flat tyre but I reckon it would get there eventually, and it could turn out to be no slower than the one you link to.
And I store mine in the cubby under the floor in the hatch, along with a bunch of other stuff.

Yes it does. But in my particular case, this one is much easier to get to in case I just need a little top off. This is what my trunk looked like last week:
I just thought it was funny how well this unit fit in that little compartment.

Yep, I can now see how the one you linked to makes sense for you!
My boot/trunk/hatch is completely empty 99% of the time.
The Jaguar supplied inflator that came with my car works fine without the goo as a regular inflator. I believe it’s normally kept behind the elasticated strap against the left side in the boot/trunk.
However its its great to have an additional storage location inside the vehicle as I was looking for somewhere to store my lithium battery booster. The trunk/boot and glovebox would both be inaccessible with a dead battery so it’s currently behind the seat. I’ll try this cubby hole tomorrow, thanks.

I thought the lithium ion batteries were the same size as normal batteries, only much lighter.
My primary lithium battery is indeed just a bit smaller than a regular battery, and has the great feature that it shuts itself off if drained down to a level that will still restart the car with the mere push of a reset button. However, if the battery shuts itself down, the boot won’t open to give access to the reset button. This little gizmo will actually start the car, but I only need it to power up the boot hatch from under the bonnet.

I have this one as well and I use it often on other vehicles (lawn tractor) once in a while. It's great.
How do you pull that panel out (where do I pull at it so as not to break the clips)?
Pull on the top near the sides. It doesn't require a huge amount of force and the clips definitely won't break because it's designed to pop on/off easily, unlike most trim pieces.
Any particular reason for choosing this one? This discussion reminds me I have been meaning to get one, and there are many choices.
Pushidun K24S: Reasonably priced (~$35), compact carrying case, charge indicator, has all the attachments to charge iPhone or Android devices, can be charged from the lighter socket or any USB port. 500A Peak 10000mAh, plenty to fire up a 3.0l engine. Marko will have to weigh in on how it does with the V8.

It sounds like it "checked all the boxes" when you got it and you've not been disappointed. The biggest engine I own is the F, but there are a number of work trucks in the family. Haven't had to jump anything bigger than a Subaru in years but one of these would have saved me a lot of effort in that case.
Excellent idea for storage. Learnt early on about trunk not opening with dead battery in the first month of ownership.
My solution...
Rope attached to release. Also, useful in many, many other ways...!
