Aluminum Cooling Pipes - Finally!!
If you are keeping the car long term after warranty, it’s still a good idea to change them to metal.
iirc, earliest failure i have seen was on a 3 years old car, most seems to last a fair bit longer.

So a year or so ago I put the two in above/bellow the supercharger. Addressed the supercharger fluid, snout, and so one then too.
I just got the one near the firewall.
I checked it out with a boroscope and it was (as were the other metal ones) clean and tidy. YMMV but my vote is metal if you plan to keep the car post warranty.

Anyone?
Many 2018s still have the old style pipes. My May 2017 build has them. I am not sure when exactly in 2018 they moved to the redesigned pipes.
I have a "2018" XES built in late 2017, with the original plastic welded pipes. I'll double check my build date when I get home today
This is true. I believe the switchover occurred on builds after Oct 2017. My MY18 built in March 2017 had the old-style pipes as well.
Does anyone know if there's a post around here that shows exactly how to identify the pipes to save me fumbling around til I figure it out for myself?
Turns out my car's build date is 26/01/2018 (Australia day!), and my mechanic tells me I have the old style pipes. I must admit I haven't actually seen them myself, so I think I'll get under the bonnet this weekend and lay my own eyes on them to be certain.

The bottom pipe in that pic is the upper pipe in the engine bay.
Open the bonnet, remove the engine cover (just pulls straight up, four grommets on four pegs) and that upper coolant pipe is staring you in the kisser it stands out like a dog's wotsits you can't miss it. Dead easy to spot if it is the older two piece with a plasti-welded seam type or the later smooth type with no seam.

The crappy two piece pipes look like this: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=jaguar%20c...00.jpg&t=opera

Just got installation advice from a highly recommended indie Jaguar specialist nearby.
He has replaced MANY plastic pipe-sets on Jaguars and Land Rovers, and he prefers to buy his parts from Europe.
I bought the EuroAMP V2 kit and let the mechanic evaluate them...he was pleased with the quality of the included AL pieces, and the auxiliary (but not factory) additional parts. Scheduling our F for installation within the month.

Recently talked to a highly-recommended indie Jaguar mechanic locally, who has replaced many cracked plastic cooling pipes on JLR vehicles.
He says he prefers to buy from his usual European suppliers, but I volunteered to show him the set of EuroAMP V2 components I had purchased.
He was impressed with the quality of the castings and the smoothness of the surfaces inside, and agreed that the complete kit (with gaskets, water pump, and thermostat) was the way to go. So I reserved a 'place in line' for the pro-active repairs to take place.
Updates in about a month.

Any updates on this Carbuff2? I am getting ready to take my XJ in for some needed R&R. My valve cover stud is spinning freely, so probably need to do valve covers, gaskets and seals. While I'm in there, I may try to include the coolant parts.
Thanks,
Dan

I purchased the EuroAMP coolant system package at the beginning of the year (aluminum coolant pipes, water pump, etc). Had them installed by Mike at EuroToys here in the western Chicago suburbs in April. He said all the fitment was good and installation was easy. What he did like the best was the test drive since my car had just recently had the stage 3 VAP tune too. His quote not mine, "Now the car is everything it was meant to be." I've had zero problems with the coolant pipes and water pump since installation and put 2K miles on the car this summer/fall.
Sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, any eta on the rear piece for the V8? (The one they have in metal for the v6). Planning on getting this kit for a winter project but would like as much metal as possible

In early October, Christian from EuroAMP said they are being finalized but are not yet ready. My V8-driving friend is waiting for the complete kit, too.
