Default Any F-Type and Porsche Owners??

I'm a Porsche guy, but have owned an XFR and XJR.

I'm pondering an F-Type R , and I'm looking for a comparison against a 911. Handling .. power .. daily driving... functionality... tracking.

Thanks in advance

DZ

There have been a number of threads over the years; I think this is the most recent...

Note that the thread starter was prone to hyperbole and is no longer on the forum.

That’s a very generous and polite description of his posts.

That's really going to depend on which 911 model you are comparing the F Type to and how you want to use the car. Base Carrera, 4S, GTS, GT3RS, GT2 and so on...

I have a 993 and a 997TT, I'm happy with something like the GTS. Something that's a good daily, but can haul @$$, and track occasionally.

I had a 2016 F Type R for a couple months and traded it for a 2014 911 C4/S. My wife currently has a 16 F Type S. I loved the power and the exhaust note of the F Type but the interior was just too small for me. I'm 6'2" with disproportionately long legs. I actually had enough leg room for my left leg but the accelerator pedal sits to bar back toward me to be comfortable on anything longer than a 50-60 mile drive. Also, the bulkhead is too close to the seat making it difficult to move my right arm around. The should have sacrificed some of the trunk and given it a bit more space. The 911 is as close to perfection as can be for someone wanting a sport/sporty car. It has more leg room, the accelerator is perfect and I can lay the seat all the way back. think the performance is pretty equal between the 911 and the 550 HP Jag. I can drive the 911 comfortably all day. It also gets 26-27 mpg on the highway compared to about 22-23 on the Jag. The computer on the jag showed better mileage than what it actually was. If looks are important, you can't beat the Jag. Everywhere my wife goes, someone asks about her car. She loves hers but she is only 5'3" and speed and power aren't important to her.

You are a scholar and a gentleman. I was patiently (and quietly) waiting for that occurrence.

I am not being righteous, here... I am just typically lazy and hate drama.
Your words are words to live by. And typically, even amongst the closest of friends and allies, I won't say something about someone that I wouldn't say to their face.
It's just such a simpler way to live.
ALSO.... I treat emails as if they could be published in the newspaper someday, and think "what would the uninformed general public have to say about this?"
Again... not some "ideology" as much as it is just to make life so much simpler.

And avoids needless drama and aggravation.
