Anyone else dislike the heated windshield lines?
I went from a 2016 to a 2019 where it wasn't an option to *not* have it. I had a loaner with them and I was a silly irate angry grumpy old man yelling "DEAL BREAKER" and assumed I would hate it and possibly replace it.
I am chiming in to say that I was an AGGRESSSSIVE hard pass and hater of the thing, especially because you don't really need it where I am.
But for those reading and worried about it, I went from aggressively angry at the idea and when I caught a glimpse of them, to know never noticing and never thinking about them. They're there, sometimes I notice, I never ever care. So I went from hot to cold pretty fast, and you might to. =) Or is it cold to hot? Potato po-tot-o

My experience FWIW - never noticed them until I saw this thread shortly AFTER I purchased (pre-owned). Checked to make sure that I indeed have them since I have the switch and never noticed the wires before. Saw them once I looked hard for them. Have never noticed them again, ever, under any circumstance. So for me, very much a non-issue. YMMV !
I just don't see them. Not even at night, in the rain. Maybe I need new glasses. When I figured out I had it, after seeing the switch on the center console, I was concerned that it might prevent my toll-pass responder or radar detector form working, but no issues there either. Not sure what it would look like through polarized sunglasses. Not tried that.
I agree @Brit-Type , I have them in my '17 XJL and have ordered the heated windscreen on my '21 F-Type R. I DO occasionally notice the elements in the glass when looking AT the windscreen, but just returned from a quick trip to Tennessee (10 hours each way) and they never bothered me through bright sun or blinding rain while wearing polarized sunglasses throughout. Do I think that some drivers may be overly-distracted by them, YES, I can see that, but for me, I think the benefit, in Michigan, outweighs the "nuisance" factor. There is no "accounting" for that however...to each their own. Also, thank you for confirming you had no issues with ez-pass. I have been wondering about that, but haven't tried it yet.

I have them on our Range Rover and they are mildlly annoying/distracting but worth it as we drive this vehicle year round. The F type never left the garage in any weather that would remotely benefit from a heated windshield so I would never order it on a sportscar for what I do....

I wonder if it has to do with astigmatism? I get a very mild amount of light bloom at night through my normal vision, and the heating elements make it worse. Not dangerous or bad enough to complain normally, but it is noticeable.
Me too, but I don't find it worse at night, but I do wear prescription glasses when driving at night or in poor daylight visibility.
