Anyone with VAP tune and/or pulley pass state emissions test yet?

A lot of states just do an OBD II check for emissions to check for emissions related codes - no tailpipe sampling involved. Just wondering if anyone had any issues (any codes stored that caused failure of the emissions test) or none at all.

Thanks. Very interested in your results. The only thing keeping me from getting a pulley is its not as easily reversible as just a tune if either turns out to be an emissions pass/fail issue.

MD just seems to do an OBDii check and make sure there's a gas cap in place (they used to suction / pressure test the cap but no more). No CEL, good to go. Just did my '07 XKR last week. A couple days previously it codes for downstream o2's lazy and that CEL cleared itself the day before I took it for the test.

They plug into OBD port and check to see if any emission codes are present and also for drive cycle codes that are in a not ready state. They look under car too but I don't know what they are looking for.

Good to know, thanks. My first MD VEIP test is not scheduled until February next year (about 3.5 years after purchase), but this bit on info will allow me to rest a bit easier until then.

I will be moving, I hope to MA, this year and I understand the authorities there have upped the ante a bit with regards to tests.
I think the Rover will be fine however my XJR could be a problem. We will find out.
What annoys me a lot is where in the fine print they state something to the effect that if a "repair" is required a bill has to be shown that proves the repair was made.

In CT they conduct a basic safety check and visual inspection of the basic exhaust (making sure you have CATS). They they verify by OBDII that you are in emission ready mode (to make sure you didn't just clear any CEL codes) and thet the required monitors are in ready state (this entails a certain number of starts and drive time). They also plug in the OBDII to read and verify the VIN and they do have cameras to keep the inspectors honest. Then they stick the probe in the exhaust. I know of only a few that failed emissions due to mods but they had tune, pulley, cell 200 or 100 and high octane or water/alcohol systems. I am in CT....
