Default Apple CarPlay - 2016 F-Type R - Bosch amplifier

Is there a kit which allows Apple CarPlay and doesn’t require you to open up the screen in the dash?
I’ve seen one for the Harman version that is simple but the Bosch kits I’ve found require wiring from the screen to the amp in the rear console.
Much more complex. Looking for a simple alternative.

Any aftermarket CarPlay install will require a moderate amount of panel disassembly and joining connectors. Same amount of difficulty so doesn’t matter if it is Bosch or Harmon system. One is just up front and the other deep down behind the arm rest. If not confident just get an audio shop to do it for you. Plenty of install guides here on the forum for each system so relatively simple.
You literally just unplug several connector and then replugging them into the CarPlay unit and then plugging the outputs from the CarPlay unit back into the OEM location . There is no splicing or irreversible changes.

Thanks for the response.
I’ve seen the UAD system but it has issues re rear parking camera.
Have not found a simple install for the Bosch amp available in the USA but think one exists?
I’m ok with going into the console between the seats.
Trying to avoid taking the screen out.

Which system do you have ?
There are no issues with the reverse camera. Maybe the very first units that came to market but those things were ironed out years ago

If you have the Bosch system, there's no way around needing to get behind the screen. It's not hard, and there's a video (below).

I ordered the generic $180 kit off Aliexpress, and it works fantastically well. link: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805642356957.html

I have a 2016 F-Type R with the Bosch control behind the panel between the seats.
I am looking for a unit that gives me Apple Carplay that can be installed in that centre console area without taking out the screen.
There is a very good video of someone doing the install for the Bosch unit that includes complex removals of screen and other panels.

My research shows a UK company Streamline Coding that promises simple center console only installation. Anyone have experience with them?

The center-console-only installation is for the Harmon head unit. If you have Bosch, you have to install 2 plugs behind the screen. If you're not comfortable doing that, any car stereo installation shop can complete the job in an hour or two.

What you’re looking for does not exist, you absolutely need to access the screen and armrest for power, back up camera, video and audio feed etc.

UAD is tried and true, there are also kits that work in similar fashion that people had success with.

I hope you realise their unit is a generic unit that needs the exact same connection to the back of the screen in the Bosch system. Don’t be hung up on your so called “centre console “ install. It’s actually a bit more fiddley and takes longer to install so don’t know why you would choose that, , not that you have a choice anyway.
