I've searched but must be using the wrong keywords. I have a 2021 F-type with Carplay built into the InControl system. It seems to work fine when I physically plug in my iPhone.

When in use, Carplay takes over the entire touchscreen. I have not found a way to exit Carplay and get back to the normal Home Screen without disconnecting the iPhone from the cable.

Other cars that I've had with Carplay provide a mechanism that allows you to switch in and out of Carplay from the touchscreen.

Does anybody know how to get back to the normal Home Screen (so you can access control climate etc) while in keeping your phone plugged in? Of course... I'd like to be able to get back into Carplay as well without disconnecting the iPhone.

You should be able to go to the screen that shows the program tiles and select “Jaguar”, this should take you to the OEM screens.

 

Mcphill is correct. There is an 'app' icon called Jaguar. Press that and you're back into the OEM screens. You should be able to organize the apps on CarPlay so you can ensure the icon shows up on the home screen so you don't have to search for it.
