Audible feedback for rev limit
Does anyone know of a mod or kit to give an audible beep when a pre-set rev limit has been reached?
My V6S F-Type is great fun. Knock it into Sport mode - instant revs, instant boost from the supercharger, and instant power. The problem I sometimes encounter when using the paddles is, I hit the engine rev limiter. I find it difficult to take my eyes of the road to look at the rev counter when travelling at warp speed to overtake, and as maximum power comes in at around 6,000 rpm, there's no need to go to the red line anyway. My long-departed Subaru Impreza WRX STi had a programmable control to set an audible beep at a pre-defined rev setting, and I found this very useful.
Am I asking for the impossible?

Surely the scream is the signal that you're not going fast enough. That's what I tell my passengers, anyway.
Several OBD gauges exists, so far I can find all are visual aids, but I would be suprised that what you want wouldn't exists.

Careful what you ask for...
I remember that at one time, Japanese-market cars were required to make an indicator noise when a speed of 62 MPH (100 kph) was achieved.
So, the 'game' was to see how long you could keep the car 'on the chime'.
For some reason, I couldn't find the answer on the Guinness Book of World Records website.

I once owned a Mazda RX-7 with the rotary engine and it revved so quickly and effortlessly that a loud beep was standard when it redlined. When running through the gears for maximum acceleration I would shift when I heard the beep.
I suppose one could train their ears to recognize the pitch of the engine to know within a fairly accurate range when to hit the paddle for the next gear.
