Backup camera lag

Backup camera lag
Possibly related to my recent visit to the dealer for safety and emissions testing, (other post) my backup camera now takes almost 10-12 full seconds to display the scene after I have engaged Reverse on the shifter. It used to be almost instant. How could this happen? I don’t think the dealer did any electrical work (unless you consider the spark plugs) and I told them NOT to do any software updates. If it was a coincidentally-newly-loosened connection I would think it would just stay dark, not lag.
If they did an OBD scan for the emissions test, could that have corrupted something? I have no fault messages or lights.
(I did read many, but def not all, of the backup camera threads.)
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your time and expertise.

I've had some occasional inconsistency with mine, and I have not been able to correlate it with anything. It's pretty infrequent, and only once did the camera not come on at all. Of course, it was when I was trying to back into a parking space at work, so colleagues on the second floor saw what appeared to be a completely inept attempt to park. They held up scores for me to see. They ranged from 1.9 to 2.8. They noted the low scores were because I usually "park like a boss."
