Default Base exhaust - crackle and pops?

Will the 2017 base v6 coupe (no active exhaust as it is an automatic) make the same crackle/pop noise?

Same as what?
A base F-Type with the active exhaust?
Yes and no.
It will still crackle and pop, just not quite as much or as loudly as a car with the active exhaust in "loud" (exhaust valves open) mode.
And automatic is completely irrelevant, I have a V6 automatic with switchable active exhaust. It's just that the base V6 wasn't optioned with the active exhaust (passive or switchable) as often as the V6S was.

Is the difference in loudness between active and non-active exhaust very noticeable?

It’s not a huge difference.

not huge but enough to make me get an aftermarket system if I had the passive exhaust, vs not really needing it with the switchable active.

I change my original statement, drove a manual coupe this weekend wiht switchable, still very muted and quiet on a coupe from the inside, all coupes need aftermarket exhaust lol, convertible does not

Yes, if you have non-switchable active exhaust, you can simply plug the vacuum lines to the valves. I did mine and plugged the valves themselves just to keep debris out. It is very easy to do with a couple short lengths of vacuum hose and anything to plug the hoses.

Just to note, the 2016 340hp and 380hp F-Types with a manual gearbox included active exhaust.
