Default Battery Charging Kit

Hi all,

Im picking up a battery charging kit from the dealer next week, they gave me the instructions ahead of this but I can't work out step 2-3.

Can anyone explain how to remove that trim on the left hand side, I thought the page number would be a reference to the manual or something but thats not been helpful either.

Thanks,
Anthony

Few of us used the Jag kit - I have a Battery Tender, and have a pigtail that comes out of the battery area that I plug into.

Here are the full directions for the Jag kit, but note that this is for the first model year - the wiring has changed, since there's no longer a 2nd ECO battery. But there is at least one thread that discussed the correct way to hook it up.

On my MY14, that panel comes off VERY easily. There are clips on the front and back - squeeze towards the middle. Mine almost falls off, but I do have 33,000 miles on it.

Here's one such thread, found by searching for 'battery tender':

Because it's a Jaguar badged CTEK and costs twice as much. Get a CTEK and connect as shown.

Ok great, would you recommend the MXS 3.8, 5.0, 7.0 or something else?

The 5 is ample for what you require, choice is yours. I have both 5 and 10.

+1. Get the CTEK, if you lookup some pictures and specs, it appears to be the same unit. It has worked without issue for me.
