Blind Spot intermittent error
Hi All,
I’ve had an issue with my F-Type since I got it - the blind spot warning light flashes an error on the dash then simultaneously flashes in the mirror - every 3 seconds or so. This can happen for 2 minutes or can happen for an entire journey. It also occasionally continues to flash in the mirror when I’ve turned the car off and I’m walking away.
I have taken to main dealer (I don’t know why I ever bother with them) they said it needed recalibrating -
they did this and it was flashing again before I’d even left the car park. I asked if they could just disconnect/pull the fuse and it was a firm no.
Short of burning the car to the ground I’m at a loss. It’s incredibly distracting when driving (it’s designed to get one’s attention) and I’m pretty sick of it after 6/7 years. It’s less of an issue in the summer (not dark) but as winter is upon us again it’s genuinely driving me nuts.

I had exactly the same problem on my new 2023.
My issue also included the rear cross traffic detection system.
Likely yours does also because I think they are integrated.
The BSM and the RCTD would go out every few days/weeks, then recover. before doing it again and again.
After trying to get it fixed for several months, the dealer sequentially fitted the left rear sensor, then the right sensor, to no avail.
That took another 3 months because of parts shortages.
They then decided that it required the entire wiring circuit to be tested "pin by pin".
After a couple more weeks, it was finally determined poor wiring connections at/near the rear sensors were responsible.
The problem is now fixed but was major PITA getting it sorted, and it was all down to poor QC, not failing parts.
I would push the dealer harder!! I ended suing JLR for all the aggro on a new car.
