Blind Spot Sensor Blocked
Hello Enthusiast,
i recently bought a used 2016 F-type S coupe and a few days into it, i received the blind spot sensor blocked warnings....it does this almost all the time after driven 15-30 mins more into the trip.
i never had this issue with any other cars,be bmw or mercedes, and this is my first jaguar f-type. i bought extended warranty from the dealer itself. any idea why this is happening, i checked and there are no visible dirts that could possibly covered up the sensore frm bumper itself. as inside the bumper, i cannot see as it will need to be opened up from the trunk which i dont have the proper tools for it.
thanks in advance.

I have this problem as well. I think my passenger side module is either unplugged or bad. I never get an indication on that side (driver side works fine), but after 10-15 minutes, the system shuts down (so you don't think it is working and plough in to someone on the side that isn't working). It's odd that it stays on so long, I would think a dead module could be identified much quicker.
It took me a year to get a similar issue fixed on my new 2021
The BSM and RCT monitors would stop working intermittently- simetimes for a day, sometimes for a few weeks.
After much faffing and replacing both sensor units, JLR identified bad wiring connection(s) from the factory.
I lost use of of the car for 6 weeks while they finally figured it out.
So, they might check for wiring first.

and now with your comments regarding bad wiring, one would think they would have informed their dealerships technicians with knowledge base tools to identify or check similar reported in past issues first before troublshooting...or recall them to get them all fixed. this is the right thing to do ,yes, it is costly but we're all paid for the services and should be informed such issue and resolved them quickly once identified from previous owners, etc. overall is just inefficient customer services. Hope Jaguar will listen to their customers and make a better names for themselve in the near future or loose their market shares to their competitors...
