Default Front sensor missing after accident?

Hi there

This looks like an awesome forum! This is my first post after having an incident with a deer and I don’t know what to do next 😟

my bonnet is dented and and I have a cracked grill but also one of the sensors is no longer in the bumper. I have been looking all day in trying to find some images/text to help me but I don’t know what I need to do to get it replaced. I have poked my finger through the hole but cannot feel or see anything. So does anyone know what I should do next?

Does a new one just pop in?
How do I get the same colour as the bumper?
Is it a difficult job?

Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

Kev

Your sensor is probably dangling around inside the bumper, especially if you don't get any errors relating to the parking system on startup - they're not clipped in very tight, but it'll still be connected to the others by a wiring loom. Unfortunately the bumper will have to come off to find the sensor and clip it back into it's clip in the bumper before reattaching it. Instructions on front bumper removal attached:

Hi Dave

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply - the guide is great. I’ll try and do that tomorrow, wish me luck!

Thanks

Btw, I can't help with the repairs, but I want to talk about insurance. The first thing you had to do was solve the problem with your insurance company, cause it will try to minimize the cost. They do this because they don't want to pay you a lot of money. If they can prove that you are to some extent to blame for the accident, for example, they can use this against you and reduce the amount of compensation. But there are different agencies, lyft accident attorney los Angeles, that help to return money. There is even special insurance for collisions with a deer, but if you have full insurance, then this service is included.
