Sigh..................

After replacing EVERYTHING in the cooling system from the water pump to the rear crossover and every hose/pipe in between, I got the car on the road and everything is good except the damn float has sunk in the coolant tank. I guess 9 years was pretty good going for anything in an XF cooling system?
Rather than fool around with bits of foam under the float I think I'll replace the final piece of the cooling system that I hadn't.
There are a dozen different aftermarket tanks, can anyone recommend one that is as good as the OEM, if such a thing exists. I've heard dire warnings against URO but there's loads of others. If I can't get a positive recommendation I'll buy OEM.

Ebay is your best bet. I got mine from ebay in January but not avail for sale nw. Am sure they still hv it..

 

I ended up buying off Rockauto, I fitted it this morning, seems perfect. Only issue was it didn't say it came with a cap so I bought one as well, and it did, so now I have three caps including the replaced one! $80 delivered with sensor and cap included.
