In the greater Dallas area, we have a lot of toll roads. And of course the local authority likes to sell people "toll tag" stickers to automate the deduction of money for the privilege of driving on the road
The sticker comes with instructions to put it underneath your rear-view mirror, but doing so on my F-Type resulted in this wonderful alert
Seems there is some kind of sensor within the mirror housing that is used for at least head light sensors and who knows what else. Seeing as these stickers are adhesive backed, it's time to get out the razor blade and remove it. Even though you can hit "ok" to dismiss the big alert, you get a persistent warning icon near your speed read out.
So be aware not to put anything in this location, or nagging from the car will take place.
Put it on the left side of the mirror, it works fine there and blocks nothing. Then mount your radar detector on the right side and hard wire it into the mirror.

wow, no option to not put an sticker on your car? in the bay area we have a fastrak thing, but you just put it in the glove box or inside the car...would take to be forced to put it on the outside of the car.
Not sure, but I am probably going to move that toll tag anyhow. But if I am feeling adventurous, I may see if disabling that will remove the annoyance warning.
