Default 3 weeks in, first pics of new '16 R

First went to see the F Type over a year ago but at the time AWD hadn't been announced yet. The winter weather here in Montreal combined with my not wanting to own more than one car meant I'd have to wait and hope an AWD version would eventually be made available. Ordered a 2016 Polaris white AWD R late April, picked it up 3 weeks ago. It is my only car, I plan to drive it 365 days a year.

Only about a third of the way through the owner's manual, still have a lot to learn. I did read many pages of threads here during the wait. Also PMed several posters asking questions about posts they'd made. I have to say I was impressed with their generosity in providing helpful info.

As has been mentioned several times previously on the board, 2016 wheel options were limited. I couldn't order my preferred choice(black cyclones) so decided to stick with the stock silver Gyrodynes with the intent of powdercoating them black or swapping them out. I'll put up another thread about that later.

I've only racked up 600 kms so far but they've been lots of fun! Love the exhaust note and the paddles are making the transition to my first ever auto not as dramatic as I anticipated. Had a very tough time getting used to the seats, particularly the lower lumbar support. Messed up my back for the first 2 weeks, think I've finally figured out a reasonably comfortable setting.

The weather here has been miserable lately with rain every 24-48 hours. Finally took it to the car wash on Friday and took my first pics. I have no photographic pretensions and they were only taken with my iphone but hopefully they turned out ok. Here they are.

Very nice....love the seat color scheme. Enjoy...I envy you that it's your only vehicle and you're "forced" to drive it every day!! :-)

Thanks. The seat colour scheme was the only choice I hesitated about during the short one week timeframe between placing the order and the last change date. I had full ivory seats in my dark grey S5 and knew they weren't the most practical when I ordered the jet/ivory combo. 6 years on, wasn't sure if I should go for more theater or settle for the more subdued jet with ivory stitching. Everyone I asked voted for the jet/ivory combo and said this car was about what the 9 year old in you would do. Stayed with the combo and I like it a lot, the jet contour has so far avoided any visible staining or wear, early days still.

Enjoy...I envy you that it's your only vehicle and you're "forced" to drive it every day!! :-)
Thanks. Truth be told I've been my own boss for over a decade and if I do work it's from home so I rarely have an urgent NEED to go out. That being said I've already picked out winter wheels and tires and it will be driven almost every day.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Beautiful, and I obviously love the silver Gyrodynes on Polaris. The interior choice is perfect as well.
