Default Brake dust - Pad resources

My go to pad is apparently not available for the R. It currently has TRW's which are pretty bad for dust. What are my options?

If you use it for street use go to ceramic. That's what I did. OEM is very dirty.

I have the V8S and I think the brakes are the same as the R. I changed my pads to Porterfield R4S. Great pads and minimal dust. If you call Porterfield directly they can tell you if the year and model you have work in the same sizes.

The correct Porterfield R4S pads for the F-Type R are AP 1750 (front 380 mm) and AP 1753 (rear 376 mm).

My dealer just installed the R4-S (380/326) on my car, and reported the OEM pad sensors didn’t quite fit - they had to file them down a bit.

Make sure to verify your caliper sizes, as depending on the year rear caliper on F-type can be of a different size.

I'm fairly sure this is incorrect other than for the CCM brakes and every R ever made with steel brakes came with the "super performance" brakes, 380 mm front and 376 mm rear. You are maybe mixing things up with the V6S which came stock with the "high performance" brakes, 380 mm front and 326 mm rear.

All the non-CCB V8s use the 1750 and 1753 pads. Only the V6s use various pads.

Mine fit just fine. Getting them off in one piece however... a different story! Maybe I broke off the interfering part.

Mine fit a bit tightly, but no filing needed.

Those brake pad wear sensors are a right royal PITA, especially the front ones which snap / break off if you sneeze at them.
For that reason I have never bothered to refit or replace them on my XFS, XFR or F-Type, instead I have simply disconnected them from the pads and zip tied them up out of the way.
I know exactly when I fitted new brake pads and how long they should last before they get a bit too thin, and I have never gotten even remotely close to this point, so for me the brake pad wear sensors are completely useless.
Never mind that they are problematic with many reports of triggering way too early or way too late across a wide range of Jags and Land Rovers.
Another option which many have chosen is to cut the sensor wires and splice them together (but still leave them plugged in), as this is neater than tying up the cable in the wheel well.
You can't just remove the wear sensor cable altogether otherwise you will get a constant error message, you need to leave it plugged in (up in the wheel well) to avoid this message.

Got the fronts changed out the other day, after receiving a 9mm hex socket from Amazon.
Sensor broke upon removal. Zip tied out of the way.
The caliper covers are easy, once you figure out the secret.
Started the rear's only to discover the need for a scan tool.

This document includes the directions to put the EPB into maintenance mode, if that’s why you want a scan tool.

Just got back from the shop where I work. (Boat repair and mobile electronics).
Between the two instructions offered to put it into “maintenance mode” I got the pads changed out pretty quickly.
Of course the sensor broke. Zip tied back. Whatever.
Tried to un-maintenance mode it and I get “Smart Key not recognized”. WTH
Called the boss who used to be JLR service (and is the one who recommended I buy this car) and he had me discover that little indent in the knee bolster. OK, ignition on.
Wouldn’t come out of MM and kept saying key not found.
He says go get the DA-dongle for EPBR. I says what’s that? He says it’s the dongle that puts it in and out of MM.... UM, OK.
We didn’t mention this a couple days ago when I started this project?
He says change the battery in the key. Existing battery was 2.7 volts. New battery in key and car is much happier.
