Brake light stuck on- only when DRL is on- fix or replace?
All,
I have a 2021 F-type R. I am having an issue I am trying to diagnose and could use some assistance. the issue is with the rear right tail lamp.
When daytime running lights are on, the rear right light is fully on, like when the brake is depressed. When the daylight running lights are OFF, the brake lights work normally. The left side is fine without issue.
I disconnect the lamps from their wiring housing. When I wire the LH tail light to the RH wiring harness, the light works correctly (DRL is dim and only on the lower bar). When I wire the RH lamp to the LH wiring harness, the issue is maintained (lamp fully on with either brake OR DRL activated). I can only conclude that there is some fault within the RH lamp where any power results in the brake light being turned on.
Is this something that can be fixed? Or does this require me to replace the lamp?
Thanks!
