Default BSM not working

So a few weeks ago i bought an 2014 f type v8r with only 40k km';s.
After some driving i noticed the blind spot montoringsystem is not working.
Before i go to the dealer i want to understand the system.
Ofcourse i used the search, but little info is there.

My sitiuation:
When i start the car, in both mirrors the icons light up for a short time (Ofcourse in the cluster BSM is selected).
When i drive the car on the left side i have an orange dot and nothing happens when a car passes me.
On the right side nothing lights up, no dot and also nothing when i pass a car.
Also there is no error in the display.

If i'm correct:
When you start the car, there should be an orange dot in the left and right mirror.
When the car drives at higher speed, the dot's should go out and when a car passes the icon should lit.

In my case should i expect a problem on the right side, as there is no orange dot on that side?
Can you just swap the modules or is there some programming to do?
May be battery problem?

All info is welcome ...

That's the way ours works!

The icon should BLINK as a car approaches in the blind spot.

Whether you understand the system or not, you’ll still need to take it to the dealer with their diagnostic tools to fix the problem.

That's not entirely true. JLR sdd is on it's way. There are sevaral causes from simple diy fix to replace the module ...

Hi, are you saying that a scanner (Kingbolen in my case) can scan for the BSM systems faults? Please let me know....
