They are about $1100 retail with some shelf pricing being around $950 for the pair. This guy has sold a couple of pairs on Ebay already. The first pair sold for $175.00 the second pair sold for $251.00 and the last pair just sold for over $400 for the pair....He has decent but not great feedback but from Argentina....maybe sketchy....

The $405 selling price was a deal and if he sold OEM ones for the prices you mentioned, those are outrageous deals...here's another current listing, this time from a dealer, $1105/shipped:

Yes they were OEM. Had original boxes with Jaguar logos and part numbers. I believe they were legit. It seems everything he has sold was real OEM items from all British and German manufacturers.

I'm trying the ones from China, for$100 not much risk. They fit over existing with 2 sided tape. Worst case carbon fiber dip dishes!

I have a set of the CF ones that fit over the stock ones. They do not fit perfectly and depending of your base color which may peek through around the edges it looks awful. Mine I got from Mina when I bought a new front splitter and I basicaly got them for free. They are in a box in the garage.

The CF mirror covers are another one of those things I don't get. I prefer body-colored. It seems to me that you'd want to camoflage those two appendages hanging off the car as much as possible, as opposed to featuring them.

Perhaps...but they're high up on the car with sun reflecting off them making the c/f weave pop.

That was my point. Why would I want them to "pop?" I'd rather they hide.

Carbon fiber still has a "wow" factor even though the material itself is old and nothing that special. Think about all the ferraris, paganis, etc. offering bare carbon fiber options...it's along those lines. In some cases it's actually a structural/weight benefit, but a lot of times it's just purely aesthetic...to make you feel more like a race car.

Oh I get CF bits are "all the rage." I just don't care for the look. Classic and tasteful styling is my thing. I live in a "no bling" zone.

As I like to say - about color, about modifications - to each his/her own. Personal taste, and style, is...well..personal taste and style.

Oh yes, the F-Type IS the bling (modifications or no modifications). There's nothing demur or low-key about it.

Happy motoring.

Wouldn't CF wheels be too brittle for real world driving? ie... potholes and such
