Default Caffeine and Carburetors [New Canaan, CT Car Show]

If anyone's interested in joining me at this show, there's always a good amount of insane cars that show up...if we can get a head count, I'll reach out to the organizers and see if we can get a reserved section in the grass for F Types.

The Air Cooled Porsche presence there is always pretty big, would be fun to try and rival them.

I'll be running a cruise out of Boston the morning of with a couple other [unreliable] British cars -- we usually meet up with a bigger group of my Audi friends on the Merit for coffee and cruise into the show together.

June 17th: Caffeine and Carburetors

FYI, to find ANY parking in New Canaan, you better get there by 7:00 AM. At 8:30 few weeks ago it was full (been told cars started showing up at 6:30 AM)

Yeah I've been going to the show a few years now -- its worth the early morning haha -- usually leave Boston around 4:30, stop for coffee at 5:30 and roll into the show by 7 at the latest, its a quick drive at that hour...especially when you're with a larger group.

No doubt. It usually is, on our last ride there (4/22) it took us forever as they were working on the Merritt and we had almost 1.5 hours of standstill. Hence the 8:30AM arrival. But it was nice, for a change they had Italian Row (where the Porsche usually take over)

I unfortunately missed the 4/22 show as I was in LA for work but that's awful. Hopefully they're done with roadwork [was on it last weekend and it was fine but you never know]

The turnout is always epic but the sheer quantity of classics is unrivaled at any other show I've been to in New England

Also I'm not sure how you guys usually run the cruises but my Audi group I ran with always had handheld CBs so we could keep together / stay updated on the road -- I can toss a link in here to what most of us have if people are interested

We all have 2-way radios plus phone two way phone apps and car tracking apps for lead, middle car and sweeper. The radio makes for ton of fun on long rides (we run 6-7 Rallies a year, one to Lake George is also coming up)

Lake George is June 30th - That one is NOT F-Type only but includes other exotics (Alfa 4c, Lambo, Ferrari, GTR etc)
