We would all buy VAG-COM pre diesel gate, and just turned of the EGR on our VW diesel cars.
they started to test for any type of re-programing in the ECU knowing this.
I had to remove the mod get it smogged, and then re-program the EGR even back then.
jump to diesel gate and I had to get the car re-certified at VW or the DMV would cancel my DMV Reg.
