Default CF roof deterioration

Has anyone with a Carbon Fibre roof noted any breakdown or deterioration?
I’m thinking of buying a used ‘16 R with a CF roof, but have seen some disastrous aftermarket CF hoods in the past.
This car has been a garage queen, but that will change once I get hold of it...
Is the Jaguar CF holding up?
Thanks!

I have the OEM CF rear spoiler on my 2017 SVR and it's still pristine
I don't have the CF roof so can't talk to that if it's different

The disastrous aftermarket hoods probably had no UV protection built in. I expect the factory option roof is significantly higher quality. I recently acquired some JLR carbon fiber bits and they look to be very high quality, although I don't know how they'll hold up. I hope well.

Thanks
I’m still a little concerned, both by the roof and spending all that money (in one place )

The carbon roof on my 2017 SVR is holding up well.

Thanks.
Pulled the trigger today and put my deposit down.
Only my second ever Jaguar and I’m promising myself I will drive this one more!

The last one was a Black XK, so wanted to change it up a bit.
I guess we will see how the CF roof holds up to daily driving!

Looks great, the red with the black accents.

Thank you.
Not quite as good as Miami Blue, but one of the few non-black in my price range with low miles.
There was a light grey one too that I considered but it had double the miles for the same price - which kind of ruled it out!

Haha. Definitely had to pay a premium for it though. I went into buying a car with the wrap already on my mind, so I didn't really care about the color.

My car being Ultimate Black underneath actually worked out very well though, as the door jambs/engine bay etc ended up being black and blending in.

Strangely enough, I have a mind to wrap mine and my preferred color is blue! Won’t be until maybe next year now, so I’m happy to have the Italian racing red. It’s going to be a pain to wrap though as I’m sure the color will try and pop through all the time.

There is something about the aesthetic of this car in blue that really suits it.

I’m not too keen on the red at the rear of the car, as the rear lights seem to get swallowed up by it. I might have to put a very light tint on them, just to differentiate them out of the rest of the back of the car.

I agree with red cars and tail lights in general. Smoked tails would look decently sharp.

For some reason, it works on Salsa Red. I think it’s because the Italian Racing Red is just a shade out and neither blends or differentiates between the body and the lights.
Are UK spec cars orange back there? I wonder if that would look any better on the Racing Red?

you can try tinting the tail lights maybe they'll pop out more darker, if i'm not mistaken tinted taillights is actually a factory option now
