Own a 2017 r coupe since new, never really tried to put anything in the trunk as my wife’s Jeep JLU wrangler is usually tasked with hauling our crap around. The Jag was actually purchased as our touring car but since the Jeep is so good at toting stuff, the seats are easily as comfortable as the jag with more legroom, and I don’t have to stress about door dings in unfamiliar environs, it gets used 95 percent of the time while the jag broods in the garage.
Today I had to transfer two complete sets of dive gear to another location, and my wife was off somewhere using her Jeep. I was surprised that the jags trunk swallowed two tanks, BCs,regulators, wet suits, lights, fins, weight belts etc and had room left over! I was suitably impressed until I remembered my college era Lotus Europa that regularly hauled all my dive gear, groceries, a tent, other camping gear and clothes at the same time
for weekend getaways as well. The Lotus seemed half the size of the F Type.
There is plenty of room in the trunk of the coupé. Lots of room, the entire width of the car, larger than the photo above suggests, plus the area under the trunk floor. Comments about a lack of luggage space (probably true in the convertible) simply do not apply to the coupe unless your expectations are entirely unreasonable (given that this is a sports car, not a station wagon). Convertible owners who complain about a lack of trunk space might have chosen the wrong body style!
Don't try that with the convertible!!
Apart from the miniature trunk, I just wish there was even a place to keep sunglasses an other small things handy.
I have been able to get two sets of golf clubs in the trunk. The only extra step is to remove the drivers from each bag and position them diagonally on top.

Wow! You must have a different F Type R than I have...I just picked up a new 2021. I do play golf quite often, so the first thing I attempted to do was put my stand bag in the trunk...then with out the driver....then without the 3&5 wood. Got it in after the three woods were removed, but I couldn't position the woods in the truck without the "nanny" buzzing and stopping the trunk closure. I can't understand how you ever accomplished one full set, let alone two sets! Maybe you have a tiny bag that doesn't carry the regulation 14 clubs.....
So, I just put the loaded bag in the front seat, of course no passengers!
Just putting things into a context that non-golfers/scuba divers might relate to, I can attest that the coupe (without removing the cover) fits in 3 (6 bottle) cases of decent sparking Pinot Noir Chardonnay plus a carton of Asahi Super Dry, together with some Makgeoli, Bombay Sapphire gin, a few bottles of tonic water, several packets of pork rind, and has some room left over for other food. It can be a mission fitting it in, but we get there because we are motivated.
