Default Dead dashboard and controls help F type S

I replaced a fuse under the steering column. And fault code still popped up. So disconnected positive of main battery and put it back. Car fully died. Mirrors open and close. Car senses keys. Windows dont work. 2014 f type S. Tried jumpstarting from front thing, tried everything. Checked all grounds. All fuses are fine. Checked all mega with multimeter. Unplugged power to bcm under passenger carpet and plugged it back in, nothing worked. Just towing to a dealership is insanely expensive as nearest dealer is 3 hour away.

Are both battery terminals clean and are the cables tightly secured to the battery? You did not explicitly say, but is the battery fully charged as well?

yes, both auxiliary and main fully charged. All the cables are tightly secured. No visible corrosion. I have a feeling the car has some kind of tripper or something somewhere or if something shorted. Checking under dash and everything if getting power but car is fully dead.

A friend 'bricked' his F while trying to install a battery maintainer, incorrectly. The list of things that work on your car sound like the ones he had.

Dealer fixed it. I think the car's computer had a lobotomy, sorry.

When you start with "i replaced a fuse and the code still popped up", what fuse, what code? What was the original fault you were chasing? Fuses aren't ever going to be the cause of the failure, only a result of a shorted component or other over amperage condition.

I guess a fuse is only going to need replacing if a circuit is drawing too much current ie shorting out. Replacing the fuse is treating the symptom and not the problem.

adaptive dynamic fault on dashboard. A fuse under the steering was blown. Replaced it and ride quality got a lot better and it fixed the problem. I disconnected the positive of main battery and put ir back one. Only positive and car fully died.

That is a nasty situation.
Is there water somewhere? In the trunk?
Please look at all the fuses before you send it to a shop, if it was my car, not the dealer, they swap parts. I good specialty shop with very knowledgeable mechanics.

The fuses are: under the hood. And at the footwell. But most importantly in the trunk: look at the high amperage ones which are mounted on the floor near the battery. I suspect water there or it is blown by something bad.

Good luck! Must be something simple.

Adam

If the only thing you did was remove and refit the positive battery terminal I'd focus my attention on that cable. Check both ends to make sure no loose connections? Lack of positive power would definitely result ina dead car. Apologies if I've missed any steps you've taken since reconnecting.
