I ordered my 2020 F-Type SVR thinking I would get the deployable spoiler but it arrived with the fixed wing spoiler. I asked the dealer and they said the SVR had to have the fixed spoiler. I would have preferred the sleeker look with the spoiler retracted, but oh well, too late to change it. Still love my car though.😀

You can change the spoiler easily for the deployable one there not expensive and easy to do and you will have no problem selling the svr one if you want, the deployable one as with the svr is just a plug and play when swapped
Doesn't the SVR need the fixed spoiler to keep the back down at speed? I have to say I much prefer the fixed spoiler - the car looks a bit naff to me with the deployable one up, the fixed one looks great all the time!
I am confused. I understood all SVR's to have an Active wing? It does look fixed, but has multiple positions. I have never seen a "real" SVR without the Active rear wing. Maybe I missed something. I have seen aftermarket, and knock-offs...But OEm are supposed to be active. See below right from JLR vehicle info...
My SVR is a 2017 but it has a deployable spoiler. Not that tab in the middle but a full width spoiler which raises up around 60mph. For vmax (200mph) it gets locked back down so it doesn't generate too much drag. Jag quotes the large downforce it puts on the back of the car even when down at speed
I thought that was standard on all SVRs but perhaps they changed the setup for 2020
The deployable "inverted" WING was standard on the SVR, but the buyer had a no-cost no-reduction option to go for deployable SPOILER of the other F-type models.
It seems that in the discussion above the WING and the SPOILER are confused with one another.
A SPOILER is an air deflector, typically an upwardly inclined surface extending over (a portion of) the width of the car.
A WING is an airfoil that that develops downforce when an airstream passes the wing on both sides and a wing doesn't necessary deflect the airstream, although it will also deflect the airstream if it is arranged at an angle with the airstream, e.g. when the wing of the SVR Is deployed.
On the SVR the wing is locked in the un-deployed position to reach the 200 mph top speed. Otherwise, it is deployed above 60 mph for increased downforce.
Dougdean's SRV probably has a deployable inverted wing. It may look like a fixed-wing, but I guess that it isn't (unless Jaguar has changed the wing for the SVR for the 2020 model year, which seems unlikely).

That is not true. Not common and hard to find but there are SVRs with the deployable spoiler option.
