Default Difference between main dealer service quotes

Astonished at the disparity in service costs between dealers. My 2014 V8S needs its 48k service. Called my regular service dealer in NY who has serviced the car since new - $280 (yes that includes brake fluid change and a loaner). A new jaguar dealer recently opened very close to where I live in CT, gave them a call to compare - they quoted circa $800. Crazy.

Would be interesting to ask what they would do for $800. I don't see anything special about 48K in the maintenance schedule.

Though I was high-mileage, at 33K. Glad you're enjoying it! Mine comes out of winter storage this weekend, which it will be f0cking cold...

I only have 18k on the clock however it requires the 48k maintenance schedule (3rd annual service). The only addition to this service is the brake fluid change (required every 3 years).

Right, I did that last year. My 4 year service is coming up, as is the expiration of my warranty.

I'll try to remember to look it up when I get home.

I previously posted that I paid $700 including the brake flush. First time they used the recommended oil. Could send you a copy of the invoice if you like. PM me if so.

This happens in the UK too.

HA Fox sold me a 3-year Service Pack at purchase for £995 - apparently a 10% saving.

Stratstone charge £265 for an Annual Service.

The latter are now the Franchisee in my area...
