DIY supercharge oil change
Haven’t done it myself yet, but t planning to do it at 50-75k miles. Shouldn’t be too hard. To get access to the fill hole, you’ll need to remove the intake crossover tube and also the SC drive belt to gain access. Make certain you use the correct (metric) Allen wrench to remove the plug, otherwise you’ll bugger up the plug. You’ll need a socket drive wrench since it’ll take a lot more than just an Allen key to break the plug loose.

Coz the oil drain/fill plug is on the rear underside of the SC.
There is a post around here somewhere where Cambo put up pics of the V8 SC (Eaton TVS R1900) showing this, and the V6 SC (Eaton TVS R1320) is the same.
Not so fast there Lance, I'm 99% sure that on the F-Type an SC oil change means the SC itself must come off - right off.

I am currently attempting this on my xkr 5.l . (see my thread on the xkr section ) With the supercharged unit still in the car . The supercharged belt drive is at the front of my engine and the drain/fill plug is at the back . I was led to believe that all the 5l jaguar and RR model engines are the same . IE xf , xkr, xkr-s , x351 , and Ftype also Range rover and range rover sport all share the same engine and lay out .
I learned recently that the aboriginal word "boo" means to return, because when you throw an ordinary meringue ...
That’s assuming there’s been no loss. You should put back just enough to get the level up to the bottom of the fill hole.
Thanks OzXFR . Just done the change , And took car for a quick run . No problems . Will check for leaks later once engine has cooled then bolt all back together if all ok
Well done George you have proven that it can be done without removing the SC.
But what a pig of a job, no way I will be trying this any time soon!
