Default Door Lock/Unlock Issue

Ok, having an issue that I need to run by the collective before I move forward.

Symptom: The car (2016 F-type R AWD) does not recognize either key fob to lock/unlock/open trunk. The car will start, so the immobilizer recognizes the car.

What I have done/tested:
- Replaced the battery in both key fobs - No change
- Incontrol (remote app) will lock/unlock the door.
- Lock/unlock buttons work inside the car.
- Disconnected the battery and reconnected. Keyfobs worked for maybe an hour.

Path Forward:
- I could try to replace the RF receiver ($50) and plug and play.
- If it's the KVM (Keyless Vehicle Module) then I have to have program to the car and keys.

I don't know how to diagnose this further at this point.

Help?

Have you plugged it into a code reader and pulled all the codes?

Did you confirm that the batteries you put in the fobs were good? I’d measure them to be sure, or try them in something else.

Just so that we don't A*S-SUME anything:

Did you remove any protective coating from the CR2023 button cell batteries before installation? (Sometimes, the coating is hard to see)

The interior lock/unlock buttons work on the car door, correct?
