I am taking my 2015 F-Type R that I recently purchased to a Jaguar dealership Friday to have it looked at/inspected by the pros.
I am nervous they are going to do a software update on the car that’s going to remove/reduce that awesome exhaust sound.
Anyone have any tips on what I should tell them? I’m not quite even sure what the update is called. I am attaching a picture of my vehicle’s current software.
I hear you. For that reason I'll take my 2015R to a quality shop, not a dealership. Too many stories on here about dealers screwing up customer's cars. The Portland dealer is lame.
Not into helping to pay for their glass palace.
My needs do not require something only a dealer could do. Brake flush, installed lower dust Porterfield pads. Also my AC is giving up in the 105+ heat.
Others on here has specifically asked dealers to NOT do S/W updates and they go ahead and do it anyway, so if you want your badass ride to sound like a sewing machine ..........
Oddly enough when I had VAP write my stage
one tune for my 2014 v8 F-Type I had them back off the popping noise to about 25% of what it was before to save my cats and O2 sensors. I'm really happy with the sound now and the new engine tune is awesome ! Definitely a different car now.
