Default Drivers door will not open following flat battery

Long story short. Dead battery lead to me trying to open the door using the emergency blade key. Despite lots of useful advice this was unsuccessful. Every idea tried and failed.

RAC called, also unable to use blade key.

So he jacked the car up and managed to attach jumpers from underneath the car, sufficient power to open the boot, jumpers attached to battery and charged the car. car started, but drivers door would not open. Locked, unlocked - lights mirrors and even audio cues all worked but door will not open. Tried the blade again - just in case manually locking it would prevent opening - still no joy. Went through full error check, door management showed all ok, reset the battery, removed fuses and put back, all failed.

Likely to have call a Jag mechanic out unless anyone has any suggestions or are familiar with this issue

..
you should keep an eye on the battery if you leave the car idle for a few weeks and check if you get a "low battery start engine" warning on the dash..if you are able to charge the battery up in your garage or through your lounge with an extention lead cable then do so, my V6 gives that warning all the time but i am able to trickle charge the battery for 8 hours..
