Default Dynoed my VAP Jaguar Ftype R - 588AWHP/553AWTQ - Video Inside

I decided to take a trip to Kansas City as I setup dyno time for my nephews first dyno run with his car and then ended up dynoing my Jaguar as well. Did 3 pulls with the Jag and each one within about 5-8 minutes or so of each other. The car gained a little bit on the 2nd pull and then did exact same power on the 3rd pull. The car ended up making 588AWHP/553AWTQ.

Power modifications are VAP Tune, pullies and upgraded air filters as well.

I'll post the dynograph as a reply to this thread as I can't get a picture to show in the same post that has words in it....something to do with using the phone to post on this forum.

Here is the video:

Here is the dynograph that has all 3 runs on the same graph. The car was started back up and gotten back up to temp around 6-8 minutes or so after each run.

Both front and rear wheels are spinning on the dyno so my WAG is it's AWD!

I have not weighed the car yet, but would like to. I need to find somewhere that can do an accurate weight for me.

Great video. I have an appointment to have my 2018 R done March 17. How did you keep the car from downshifting when you opened it up on
the Dyno?

Thank you for the amazing work you guys do over there, it's always a pleasure doing business with you. My next little adventure is going to be to lower the car just slightly now that I have the new wheels and tires on the car. I was going to be looking into your suspension setup to see if that might work for me. I also want to make sure it will be good for racing and such as well.

The dyno operator dynoed the car. I believe he was able to hit it slightly at around 2,700rpm and then quickly after went full in around 2,800rpm and it didn't downshift. I always use the console shifter, but he used the paddle shifter if that makes a difference. I wouldn't think it would make a difference, but just thought I would let you know. Good luck on your dyno! Have you been to the track with the car yet?

Thank you for the advice. I will let the Dyno operator read this information. I haven’t been to the track yet. I just added the pulley and tune over the winter. I haven’t really even had it on the road too much yet.

Technically you don't even need to really hit it that low anyway as that is not even where you would race the car at normally and it doesn't make peak power anywhere close to that RPM either. I guess it's nice to know the power it does make at those RPM's, but just saying it's probably not 100% necessary.
