Electrical Gremlin or setting?
Checking to see if this is an electrical gremlin or a setting somewhere I need to change.
If the car is locked and I stand near it and unlock it with the fob it unlocks as it should. But like a minute later it locks by itself, without me touching the fob.
One of these days I'll sit down to RTFM but the weather has just been too darn nice. Oh and the wind has been calling me lol.

Its a security setting. Car assumes that you accidently unlocked the car. When it detects you haven't opened the door(s) after unlocking, it will lock automatically. This has been pretty much standard on every car thats had keyless entry.
If you use the handle button, to unlock the car, it will not automatically relock if you don't enter. I'm sure the logic is that you might accidently hit the fob button, but pushing the handle button accidentally is not very likely.
Thanks. Then what is the range of the key fob for keyless entry? Is it possible to lock the car and run into the store but because you are within range someone could hit the button on the door to unlock your car?
The proximity in which you need to have the key is pretty small. Try it in your garage.

+1. If you stand next to the driver's door with the fob, kitty will growl if somebody tries to enter the passenger side before the driver opens the door. So the distance is certainly less than 5 feet.
Yours growls?!
Mine does the Roadrunner meep meep!
Oh how I hate that cheap-*** sound. Even the actual horn would be better, but it's some kind of auxiliary shittier sounding horn.

No, it's just one of the two horns sounding. You should praise JLR for being smart, because it causes less battery drain. I liked it. The normal horn sound is two-note harmony.
i believe the road runner is part of a separate alarm siren system. When the alarm goes off you can tell it has nothing to do with the horns.
