Default what to put on door seals to make them shut up?

This wasn't an issue right away on my car, but after 2000 miles and 4-5 washes, both of my door seals emit squeaks when rolling on bumpy roads.

I haven't put anything on the seals, per se, I just run a damp towel around the jams when drying the car (so conceivably the towel may have carried some spray wax residue).

On my XF the sunroof seals squeaked incessantly. I had the shop "lubricate" them several times but the noise always came back after a wash or two, or just the passage of time - not sure which.

Anybody have a way to combat this?

for rubber seals stick with einszett as it's water based and not silicone based like most 'greases', which in the long term will do the opposite and dry out rubber

on hard plastic/metal latches definitely use that honda stuff

Has anyone ever tried Aerospace 303? I have extremely delicate latex seals on my drysuit and treat often with this product. It's amazing and it leaves no residue. I think I may give it a go on the F-Type and will let you know how it performs short and long term.

A thin coat of plumber's valve grease works just fine. Water resistant and rubber safe.

I've heard on several occasions from auyobody shop guys, the spray cooking product PAM works great for door seal and also protects it from freezing during winter time.

On another forum (not sure which one, could be the XF page here) they swear by Sil-Glyde, see here for example: AGS American Grease Stick AGS SG 2 Sil Glyde Lubricant 1 1 2 Oz | eBay
