I own a well maintained Jaguar F type. After filling my tank with Tesco 95 octane petrol, there is a slight shudder when running and driving the car and "engine malfunction" light comes on. Can you suggest the reason and is it safe to drive on until I can take the car to Jaguar dealer?

 

You'd be taking a risk. It's a very expensive car so why do that?

Get a code reader such as an elm327 for when this happens in the future.

 

What I was told by dealer mechanic... if the check engine light comes on and the car runs well, its likely something like a bad ox. sensor and it should be brought in reasonably soon, but not left for more than a week. If the car runs rough then get it in right away.
