Default Euro Amp Heavy Duty Water Pump

So I was browsing Euro Amp's site (the maker of the new aluminum coolant pipes) and saw they sell this heavy duty water pump. I'm pretty sure I have a water pump leak currently as I'm losing coolant and its spraying all over the front passenger side of the engine (LHD). Anyone have experience with these? Any reason not to go OEM and go with this one? Thanks.

I'm always skeptical when a seller advertises "heavy duty" with no description of what that means, which likely means it's no different than any other pump. So, it's "probably" no worse that the OEM pump.

They could have also said that it's made of "military grade aluminum"... another empty term.

Based on the picture, it looks to be an OEM water pump (I looked up the number engraved on the back).

My complaining aside, if it's an OEM part, it's probably way less from them than a Jag dealer.

Maybe it comes with military grade instructions?

Strange that it lists this as only for the AJ126 as I thought the AJ133 V8 used the exact same coolant pump as the V6.
Lo and behold, when I go to the Euro AMP page for the V8 coolant pump it shows the exact same pump with the exact same numbers on it and the exact same price: https://euro-amp.com/products/jaguar...ine-heavy-duty
So either they cheaped out on the pics for the ad and used the same ones for both or it really is the same pump for both.
I favour the latter option, same pump for both.

Very interesting, so its just an OEM pump. Well I wont hassle my mechanic to use that one as they're already touchy about using owner supplied parts, I'll just go OEM. Thanks all.

wow, just noticed the price of the pipes are now significantly cheaper...I bought them when they first came out @ $260 or so and they've been sitting in my office for future work. I'm assuming you know to change the pipes since you've mentioned them...if u haven't done so already.

I havent done it yet, the previous owner replaced them with OEM like 10k miles ago. When they burst again (or if the supercharger needs to come off for my current coolant leak) I'll be putting them on.
