This is exactly how much window washer fluid are reservoir can handle.

I don't know if it's because it's in the rear, but I'm pretty shocked how big a reservoir that is. This is what is left over from filling it up from a 1 gal, or 3.78 l bottle.

It actually has 2 reservoirs...1 behind the right wheel apron, and the other inside the rear bumper. When the front one gets low, a pump kicks on and refills it from the rear one. Total is 5.8 Qts! I use it for Water/ Methanol Injection(shared) too, and it lasts quite a while thankfully..
any window washer fluid is fine? not some specific ones like the engine oil?

Not really an issue with WS solution, unlike many other fluids! Since I am "sharing" the reservoirs for my Water/Methanol injection, I only use the -20 degree WS Solution, that is about 30-40% Methanol, and the rest Water (and a drop of blue coloring).
The Jaguar spec indicates - Screen wash with frost protection, diluted with clean water to the ratio specified on the screen wash bottle - But again, any normal solution should be fine. You DO want to only use the low temp types if you live in colder climates, or it will blow off your headlight washer covers and/or could crack your nozzles when it freezes!
I think the reservoir is that large due to the headlight washers. I have a Volvo with headlight washers. The reservoir on that car is 5.8 quarts. The first time I filled it I was looking for fluid on the ground after adding a gallon and still not filling it.
So a dry windshield washer reservoir will save you 11.6lbs @ 5.7qts. Seems like quite a bit for free weight reduction. Personally, I never use it as I my car is garaged and i wash my car often enough that the windshield is always clear.
