Hi guys I have a customer with a brand new lister tuned f type , were wanting to know if we can replace the downpipes wit ones just with sportscats fitted to help with sound and performance as so far he's been robbed with a backbox mod that has still let the car far too quiet
Hi Andy,
Yes you can, but we will need to alter the tune for you to run correctly and error free. If you shoot me an email at Stuart@VelocityAP.com I can assist with all of that.
The 2021 SVR (USA) is noticeably quieter then the 2020 model and I'm searching for suggestions on how to fix it. There's someone over on the FPace forums who did a resonator delete but its hard to tell how it really sounds and I would prefer to keep things as stock as possible. That being said, I'm aware of the Gas Particulate Filter and have confirmed through the spec sheet that it comes standard even on the U.S. models where they're not required. Can these be removed? They are not required to pass emissions here in the US. In addition, I saw someone mention removing a fuse in the fuse box that could help open up the exhaust in dynamic. Does anyone know if this is possible in the FPace? I've included a diagram of the fuse box for reference. If the resonator delete is my best bet then I will go that route but I wanted to explore all options first.

The GPF is part of the downpipe with catalyst. You cannot just cut out the GPF because it's rear half of the "catalyst cell in tube tube"..you would need to cut out the catalyst and GPF or simply replace with something like our VAP 200 cell downpipes and get a tune for the catalysts monitor to avoid an engine light.

Hi everyone! I know it’s a little bit old thread, but I am looking to buy 2019 SVR from Canada. VIN K62.
the dealer does not know about GPF/OPF and I still don’t have the build sheet to check whether it is onboard nor not.
the only thing I am się about is that the car always starts in Normal mode even if it was turned off in Dynamic mode. Can it indicate that the car is already muted?
Any recommendations how to check the sound remotely? I am unable to do the test drive myself due to huge distance.
Any way to check ECU version and whether it is flexray vs non-flexray?

Where is it located? We have members from Canada here.

This is a clear indication that at least one of the quieting software updates has been done to the car at some point. I doubt it has GPF/OPF as I don't believe that started in the NA market until MY '22.
I just received delivery of my new 2019 F-Type R Convertible a few days ago and while it's gorgeous, I'm incredibly disappointed in the way it sounds. Previously I had a 2015 F-Type V8 S for a year, and I've been driving the 2016 F-Type R Convertible for the last 3 years, so I'm not unfamiliar with these cars. My complaint is the way that the pops, crackles, and firecrackers have been removed from the throttle profile vs previous models. Don't get me wrong, she'll pop occasionally when she wants to, and when I'm more aggressively up-shifting at about 4k rpm, but she just won't perform on command...
I used to be able to rev her up (or downshift) and then lightly feather the throttle to unleash a cacophony of machine-gun-fire with an impressive discord of snaps, crackles, and firecrackers to "advise" neighboring vehicles that I was in the area... Unfortunately, this unpleasantly-quiet 2019 is unwilling to grant hardly any of these joyous sounds and has left me wondering if I'm able to make it through the 3-year lease that I've signed.
I'm praying that someone is able to advise if there is a setting that I've missed, somewhere obscure that allows this to work? Of course, I only drive it in Dynamic mode with the exhaust on, as there's no way I'd ever try to hush something this beautiful... It's unlikely that I've missed a setting, so my next question is whether this can be rectified at a dealer, or if in-fact, the latest vehicles have been neutered of their sound? Any help?
Thanks!
Just FYI. Wraptor Customer in UK just put out a video about the pops and snaps and such. They are able to tune the car not for speed but to put those back in as much as you want. its a tune but they won't be tuning the car for more power unless you want that. Google Wraptor Customs. The contact man is Dud Ginn when you email them.
