Default experience with Mina Hood Spears

Has anyone purchased the Supercharged hood spear finisher set: Jaguar F-Type "Supercharged" Hood Spear Finisher Set - Mina Gallery Inc ?

Can anyone comment on product quality and fit?

Thanks
Steve

I purchased a set this last Febuary, took a little while to get but they are beautiful! Fit is perfect although I wish there was a gasket to go with them.
East to install, I used a hot glue gun to lock the little nuts that hold them in place. They even set the lettering up in red at no charge for the delay!

I have a set of matte black spears and they seem to be pretty well designed and constructed. I received them within a few weeks of ordering and I've had it on for about 3 months now. The finish is very nice and professional. The build is solid and doesn't flex easily. You can feel a significant amount of heat coming out of the vents after a drive so it's definitely doing it's job. It does open up that area to more water/rain coming through but the rubber covers over the shocks keeps that area dry. They are a bit pricey but probably a fraction of what Jaguar would charge if they designed and sold something similar.

I would 100% buy them again.

Here’s the backside view. As Koolkat mentioned , a rubber gasket would have been nice.

On the front side, I asked Mina Gallery to remove the strip that says "supercharged" so it's only the frame and mesh wiring.

thanks! very helpful. Agree that a gasket (or a bead of silicone) between the vent and the hood would be a good idea.

I really like my set. I started out with glossy black but then switched to the stainless steel. I also agree that a gasket of sorts should be included but I made my own and it worked out great.

The hood vents on my old XFR rattled a bit so I took them off and applied some thin double-sided tape, worked a treat.
Same with the F-Type (although they didn't rattle), I took them off to Dremel out extra ventilation air holes then put a few small strips of tape on when I re-fitted them.
Just take extra care to cut the tape thin and "tuck it in" so it doesn't show around the edges of the vent.
