Not too common, but a few instances (now 3 or 4) have been noted on this forum. Problems with the early ELSDs (R) were more common
This issue is one of the reasons I’m working with Quaife to build a Torsen diff for the F-Type. I suspect there will be a demand for these as the F-Type ages and cars are off warranty.

 

I'm impressed by your efforts, how far have you progressed with this project?

 

Still trying to determine if the V6 diff case is identical to that of the V6S. If so, it will increase the target audience for the Quaife internals and I’ll take a flyer at ordering the minimum quantity (10). Same thing I had to do with the short shifters to get one made.
