Amazing that old school analogue stereo and (excluding CD player) cars get that reaction. While I do use my phone/ipod for music as it is convenient I’ve never heard anyone say “love that iPod!”

Our cars are similar in the engine dept and exhaust in an era of piped in exhaust.

Whether one is hanging art—F-Type or otherwise—or a stereo system, a “proper” (and attractive) installation is imperative.

It’s a longer story [re] my lack of a turntable…then again, I do have a $1,000 DAC.

P.S. I am compelled to give a well-deserved shout-out to the amazing men and women artists—and the people who work and volunteer there—including the artist, Donald Freeman, who created that beautiful drawing above my stereo to Spindleworks in Brunswick, Maine. Although they also have other locations. https://spindleworks.independenceassociation.org

Not to be rude or critical, quite the contrary, I assumed the artwork was from a child or grandchild.

I assumed the same thing. Seeing that as art makes me realize I will NEVER be that one going into an art gallery gazing at pictures thinking how amazing the artist is for creating such a painting. I am the guy in the corner chuckling to myself saying clearly people have more dollars than cents. Then again I am divorced and fought an 8 year custody battle and just happy to still have a home to hang anything on a wall But I sure can appreciate a good audio setup!

Click on RickyJay’s link, then perhaps you’ll understand. Or not.

”Spindleworks showcases artwork and visual expression by artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”

Keeping with the F-type art theme…

(Pardon the mess). While I love the print, the fact that it was gift from friends for running our fall F-type get-together makes it doubly enjoyable.
