We were sure that it could be done with the AWD platform and the right conditions. Now that it has cooled down a little (we were as high as 47C or 116F this summer) Chris was able to get a car out to the airport and get some better figures laid down. Looking at the 60 foot times, we are still pretty confident that at a sea level DA and with a prepped strip this car will go deeper into the 10's. A 1.5 second 60 foot time shaves 0.2 seconds right away, and with the continued gains from that launch down the stretch it's probably capable of running a 10.6 with a 1.5 second 60 foot launch.
I'm ready to go all VAP. Can anyone in the tri-state area refer me to a good dealer of VAP?
If you go on to the VAP site, they have a dealer locator page. I was able to find a few relatively close to me but another forum mentioned another tuner/fabricator in the MD area that has a great reputation, not a VAP dealer though. Happy to share their info if you'd like.
Pshhhhh, that's only 0.03 seconds quicker than my car with just lower, ECU and PS4S tires. You guys have some more work to do!
Where are you running that though? We're at 1800ft DA, and when I tell you that the runway is dirty I mean it's dusty, there's little rocks & pieces of tarmac and ZERO prep. We're very much traction and Altitude limited. If you had our upper, TCU and some stickier rubber I would expect you to pick up at least another 3-4 tenths.

I will be calling you soon to get me that same tune you have on that car and add the TCU TUNE to my setup. Congrats guys I can't wait to see how the car feels with the TCU tune done.

Oh yeah, definitely a prepped surface; running at about a 1000 ft. Our 60ft times are very similar. I’m just giving you a hard time of course!
Congratulations Team VelocityAP! Keep up the great work 👍 I’m going to be next in the 10s! Fresh rubber and I’m certainly there. Good DA today and I ran a 100-200 km/h time of 6.77. Your tune and parts make power! With a proper 60ft I should be at 10.9 having run an official drag strip time of 11.12 with a 1.76 second 60’ft time!

We look forward to it! Thanks for the opportunity to earn your business.

Nice to hear... With your new upper Polley, I have no problems with slip? Need I a new Stage2 Software and shorter belt? I have the longest belt from you, and I have the black pulley. i think the belt is very short and tight at the moment.
Thank you so much

Hi Andi,
The upper pulley grip-tec coating is designed to combat belt slip. You will need new software if you are adding the pulley, and a slightly shorter belt.
Does that have to be done by the same folks that did the ECU tune? Is it possible for VAP to TCU tune my already tuned Ftype R?
I don't know who did your ECU Tune. If you're applying TCU Tuning to the car, it will need to have concurrent alterations to the ECU Tuning file to function correctly.
