Do you think one could get away with installing these things just using clips, perhaps if using 1 or 2 extra per side?
If I could avoid the tape I would, as I’d like to avoid potentially compromising the edge of my PPF in the wheel well sorta thing.
Thoughts?
I have PPF as well. Not sure I would want to try it without the tape. There are 5 clips per side and indentations in the trim piece for where to put the clips. Adding extras probably would not work. Given it is on the edge of the fender and not designed specifically for the F-Type I did the tape and the clips. I have had no issues. Mine have been on since July 2020. Granted I don't drive it a lot but they look like the day I installed them.
I sent them a message to check if the clips are included and to add them if they are not.
Everything else I found that look less expensive, when I would place it in the cart and check for shipping (and I kid you not) it was US$130-230.00 just for shipping!!

5 clip, okay, thought I’d read there were 6 per side. Regardless, appreciate your thoughts on this. Came across info somewhere else saying what you are saying here basically. Okay, thanks.

Perhaps I’ll ping my local Jag dealer and see what they have for pricing. Can’t hurt.
Congrats on the new car! Looks great. I've not seen one with the stripe before - it's a good look on the black
I had mine ceramic coated but did not do PPF. It has a small factory bit to protect that area around the rear wheel arch. It's a 2017 and paint is still perfect so I don't find them prone to paint chipping
On engine cover, interesting that was deleted from factory on the SVR models. To help with engine cooling. Interesting that even when they made a 575hp R they kept it on. You can always just take if off and leave it in the garage!
Happy driving! And if you haven't had a sports car before - watch out for bumps and ramps into car parks - it has very little front clearance.. and keep clear from curbs when parking as even a little touch will grind your nice wheels!

For the benefit of others really…
I just ordered the C2P5094 and C2P5095 pieces, along with 12 of the clips (C2P5091 x 12) from my local Jag dealer.
First thing that had to go was the front license plate mount.
I should have researched how others have removed it... but I was a little bit impatient. The plate is held in place with four bolts. That was easy. What is left behind are two brackets.
These are held in place with a bolt that it is screwed from the inside of the grill, into the metal bracket. The bolt creates a clamping force securing a crossbar and the plate with the grill in the middle.
For the life of me, I could not get a wrench in there to loosen the bolt. So I used a hacksaw to make a slot on the end of the bolt. Sprayed some WD-40 to lubricate the threads and started to undo the bolt. It got loose enough where the crossbar came loose and rotated. This allowed for the complete assembly to be removed. Rinse and repeat for the second bracket. I was so relieved. I did not wanted to have to undo a lot of the under covers to get to those two bolts.
And done!! First modification completed!
My dealer tried to charge me $800 to take that license plate bracket off but I threatened to walk and they did it for free.

Laziness triggers innovation, lol. I was not going back to the dealer for this and I was not going to remove panels to get to the bolts. So glad it was an easy modification to the bolt to be able to remove it from the front.

I forget to say, he said they would have to remove the bumper.🤪

Oh heck no... hahahahaha!
My only mods are (or will be):
1. Removed front license plate brackets - Done
2. Install XK rear quarter edge trim in front wheel wells to act as splash guards - Ordered
3. Battery tender pigtail to avoid having to open and close front bonnet like I am doing now - I have an extra one, just need to install it.
4. Unplug the Start/Stop shut off switch harness to avoid having to deal with that function. Plug is located in the spare wheel well. - Done.
5. Silly mod, but took one of the keyfobs and placed it in an F-Pace keyfob housing. I like that looked better. Kept the second keyfob in its original housing - Done
6. Future mod is to install an ASR Valve Exhaust flap control (RX1)
7. FITCAMX Dash cam with front and rear option. I really like how neatly integrates and gets power from the rearview mirror - Ordered
8. Orient center caps correctly. Looks like I need to remove the wheels to be able to do this... so it will have to wait.
9. Remove safety wheel lock and install original lug nut, before I misplace the key.
10. I am guessing that the 19" spare set of wheels that I have will fit this car. I want to send those to be powder coated to match those in the car now. Get a set of good tires for it and swap original setup for these. I want to use them until I get comfortable with this car... last thing that I want is to damage the wheels that came with the car. I really like them a lot.
11. This: Overheating Early Warning that @JagCode3 did. The display he used is now replaced for another version. Shadow OBDII Display
12. Need to find an elegant phone mount solution as well.
I think that is it for now. Car is new so not planning on replacing any coolant pipes for now.

I do need a cover. The indoor looks great with the logo, but those just filter the dust... need something that actually keeps it clean. Will search the forum to see what others here are using.
I'm not sure. I think it's like back in the XF days. Some fit, some don't depending on the shape of the barrel
Eg here on Jag website the 19 inch style 5057 wheels explicitly say "Not applicable for SVR or 21MY onwards F-TYPE R.
Only available with Jaguar performance braking system (355mm front/325mm rear)."
What are the 19inch wheels? The R has the larger high performance brake calipers and only a few wheel designs will fit over those.

My WAG is because the 21 and later MY F-Type R used the front hubs and/or knuckles that were standard on the SVR, and those hubs/knuckles are different to those on the earlier F-Type R and I guess they push the calipers out a little further.
If true then I have learned something new (that 19" style 1023 and 5057 wheels don't fit over later F-Type R front brake calipers), and I doffs me hat to BritCars!
I don't know if FL is a mandatory front license plate state but a Sto N Sho plate mount is the way to go. You can keep the plate in the trunk in case you are pulled over and just say you took it off for the carwash and forgot to put it back on!
