F-Type SVR No Longer for 2021...
Okay, it came a few years ago and now it's soon to be gone. From what I have found researching the 2021 F-Type SVR, the 2020 MY will be the last year for the F-Type SVR.

The truth is that in 2018 when I purchased mine, there were only 349 SVR's built that year worldwide. Only 47 of those SVR's made it to the U.S. market. So, that pretty much says it all - that SVR's haven't been produced in sufficient numbers to keep the brand going. Instead JLR is putting it's money on amping up the F-Type "R" with similar (but not exact) specs as the SVR. I'm glad that I purchased mine when I did and now that it's being discontinued even more so. My speculation is that JLR may be culling the herd in anticipation of producing a new electric F-Type in a few years. However, knowing JLR as I do, all of that could change in a year or two...

Have any of you had the unfortunate displeasure of replacing one of your side skirts? If so, how much is the OEM piece or what did the dealer quote for a replacement? I'm curious because I'm shopping for F-Types and saw a nice SVR for sale, but it looks like the CF skirt behind the front passenger wheel is pretty scuffed, and I'm going to see if that is expensive AF to replace.

For shows and concours I needed JLR verification of the 2018 F-Type SVR build numbers and validation that mine is a documented 1 of 1 globally. It took over a year of persistent asking JLR to get the numbers. JLR Customer Care was worthless and stated that JLR didn't provide build numbers so as not to influence the value of their cars. REALLY? After hearing that response I started calling the SVO group directly in the U.K. to get the information that I needed...

I started a thread about which trim level to buy, but I recently found a SVR that I'm in love with. I think I'm now leaning towards the SVR. It's a 2018 and has low miles. First mod is the tune! Just kidding. I actually want to enjoy the car as is and get used to it before I do anything serious. I love the SVR's looks and wouldn't really change anything about it.
