F-Type SVR Discussion Thread
Here is the same happening with an acquaintance of mine also on German autobahn. This was at 332 km/h in a Porsche Gt2 RS. However the tires were rather worn down after previously being run rather hard at Nurburgring (very quick laptimes....).
both are pretty lucky it didn't end in the wall, i'm sure it was still an expensive repair, have to say if I do try that, i'll do it in daylight, at that speed, your headlights just wouldn't show a deer or debris in the road in anything like time to avoid it.
The guy driving the Porsche lives for (and off) racing, and on German autobahns the trafic is usually to bussy during daytime to be able to really go fast. But it is always a risk when you drive at those speeds.
The Porsche lost it's rear left wing and fender and the alloy was a write off. But that was more or less all.
And regarding tires - here you can see the same guy doing 318 km/h in a heavily modified M3 - on ice with studded tires

Used Jaguar F-Type 5.0 Supercharged V8 Svr 2Dr Auto Awd Petrol Convertible for Sale | Farnell Jaguar slightly annoyed I didn't see this before my order, pretty good price, basically get the carbon ceramics for free and a hefty discount, but I heavily suspect its the car that Rory whats his name drove to Geneva on top gear as the spec is identical and as it says, its the only one in the UK and might have been abused by every journo under the sun, but still a good price
Its not that one, there is a video up now, shows the reg and for some reason they didn't spec the rear wing on it! so not the only one in the UK then does look nice and that would be about 125k list
Not really sure where to post this, but I'm having issues with my automatic high beams. They aren't turning off when a vehicle is within range!
Then the dash displayed a message saying "automatic high beam sensor blocked". How can it be blocked? Where is it even located?
Thanks for any tips. I really like the feature and want it to function.

If someone hasn't slapped a decal on that portion of the windshield, you probably have a bad sensor.
Thought I'd post this for the benefit of posterity.
My EZpass (toll booth tag) was mounted right under the mirror which is precisely where the sensor is.
Additionally, the windshield has infrared blockers everywhere except the two shaded areas to the right and left of the rear view mirror.
My EZpass hasn't worked since I got the car.
Put 2 and 2 together, and we have a solution. Haven't tried it yet since it wasn't nightfall, but I will now.

waiting on my local dealer to give me an indicative price on trading my fully optioned R on a same spec SVR - thinking about going back to 1 daily and SVR is more usable being awd
not many colours or interior options to choose with the facelift svr
does anyone know if jaguar can do individual non-brochure colours like other brands
BRG with the Sienna Tan could work
for those who have gone from R to SVR, does the SVR feel more 'dynamic', is the steering feel and turn in more sports car like, or still GT based like the R, does it feel lighter on it's feet...

Sorry but I can't remember where or even when I read this.
Nothing to lose by enquiring with the local dealer.
yes it exists, SVO can do that for you, there is a bright yellow coupe with yellow stitched black leather for sale in Leeds, UK that the dealer had done. They are set up to do it for land rover and will be offering it for jaguar as an option soon but I believe right now you have to ask your dealer to request it etc. I'm sure it won't be cheap. Agree the colour choice for the svr is pretty narrow, I ended up going for Corris grey and can tell you in 2 weeks how different it is from the V8s as that was my previous one.
