Default F-Types can save lives!

Given the critical blood shortages, please join my team and help American Red Cross impact even more lives.https://share.3sidedcube.com/arc/blood/teams/43840

I’m scheduled to donate 2 pints of red 🩸 cells on Thursday.
Let’s do our share. Make certain to drive your F-Type to the donation center.

I'm not eligible due to medical conditions, however my daughter wanted to donate. She couldn't get an appt. until 30 Mar. in Frederick and they are not taking walkins.

Never thought about doing that because even though I am a 'big tough guy" lol always hated/feared needles and flying things that sting. Wasps, yellow jackets. Older now and realized I am pretty much over such things. Had a blood draw a few months ago plus dentist poked the crap out of me and I didn't really care.

I will check into this now where in the past NO WAY Jose. I believe the #1 thing people can do is be an organ donor on your DL. Been that since age 16. You don't need your heart, eyes and liver when you are dead. Greatest gifts you can ever give another human.

Everybody stay safe!

I was an organ donor and I used to be a regular blood donor, but due to health problems I've been wiped off both lists as no-one wants my dodgy organs or dodgy blood!

I donate double red all the time. Last time was right before Christmas. I'm waiting until I'm eligible again. Hopefully, I can do that next month. Great idea, Mr. unhingd!

O- is the universal solvent, but that O+ is quite valuable as well. Works in all us rH positives. I've got A+, so not much use except for other A+ folks. Thanks for doing your bit!

I was hoping to donate double red, but they won't take it from anyone who is rH positive.

I'm O+

Believe me when I say how happy I was after the first time I was introduced to that process. Feels good to get my "beer" back into my system after they take the red.

I'm A+ and I used to look forward to donating a litre or so once every two weeks.
Here in South Oz the blood bank provided a free sandwich and a free beer after each donation, and not just cheap rubbish but decent quality ham/cheese/tomato sandwiches and the best beer on the planet, Coopers Sparkling Ale!

For several years, I donated plasma after my wife tested positive for breast cancer. One day, after my weekly donation, I got a call that said I had gotten a "False Positive test " for Hep C. After my initial shock, I asked what that meant. Was told that I did not have Hep C, it was just a false test result, but I could not donate for 90 days. When I call back 90 days later to schedule a donation, I was told I would have to got to Sarasota, Fla(45 minutes away), to be tested before I could donate again. I asked why I would have to spend my time and money($25 test charge) for what was the test facilities mistake??). I was told, "that's the way it is done". I said then I will discontinue my plasma donations if, "that's the way it is done". Maybe bad on my part, but was a bit P.O.ed
Now I am planning to call and see if I can donate the red stuff(A+, but it fills the bag). Maybe they need the blood more than the $25 test fee??
