My problem is that I have never been much good at backing in and it's rapidly getting worse due to advancing MS, such that my spatial awareness and judgment of angles etc is pretty much shot to bits now. Even with driving in to a parking bay I really struggle to line up straight between the lines.
For these reasons I find it much easier to "drive in and back out" than vice versa, and so far thanks partly to the reverse cross traffic alert system I haven't had even a minor scrape.
amen.

everyone's situation is different, for sure. the good news is, these things are fairly easy to park as far as vehicles go.

I find parking really difficult - I'd rather keep driving!

Maybe this is a cop out directly to your question but, like my wife, I love the whole package.

In the USA, backing-in with the JAAAG could be dangerous, IMO.

Because: you can't see past those gigantic lifted pickup trucks, as you pull out. SUVs with tinted windows aren't easy to see around, either.
Remember, the nose of the F is looonggg.

For the life of me, I can't think of a better sounding stock exhaust note ... on *any* production vehicle.

I love pretty much everything about mine. I think my favorite "feature" though is how drop dead gorgeous it is. Best looking car since the era of the E and Gullwing.

RE backing up. Mine did not come with the vision pack, so I had front and rear cameras added that display on the stock screen. The backup cam is very wide angle. You have to get used to how that distorts the perspective, but the up side is that I can see almost 90 degrees to both sides when backing up so I have a clear view of traffic crossing behind me.

With all due respect Synthesis, you’ve never met my wife 🙏. Ask anyone here who has…

Best regards,
Jay

I understand, as it is EXACTLY what I used to say about my FIRST wife! Just the same, I wish you only the best and hope that you have truly hit the jackpot.

One of the best features (outside of it being a sophisticated beast on demand) is the uniqueness…how many F-types do you typically see? Once in a blue moon. I love that about this car!

So many F-Types in my neighborhood I’ve lost count.

I bought my used R in 2022. Around then the Corvette C8's had already come out. They're beautiful cars and quite capable, and I was eyeing them, but the rarity of the F-Type (esp. in the US and my local area) was a big factor in me choosing it over a new Vette.

I’m absolutely a fan of the bells and whistles my FType came with. My second is lane departure which is quite handy with the top up (and not required at all with the top down). My favourite though is Dynamic mode. The increased performance, volume, and suspension stiffening is great, but I love the visuals. The instrument cluster turning red in the ‘cockpit’ etc. I’ll geek out for a moment and say as a Star Trek guy this reminds me of throwing the car in Red alert. Love that. Also really like the way this can be customized.

I live in the North of England and I rarely see any F-type on the roads at least during my daily commute. I drove 2K miles to Scotland and back last summer and only saw 2 during a 2-week trip. I agree that it's nice to have one for its exclusivity.

My favourite feature is the reaction that it gets from the public. It seems to garner a lot of positive attention and admiration, which is incredible for a car that is almost a decade old. I think that's testament to how timeless the design is of the F-Type. Also, when driving past a group of lads (young or old), there's always one guaranteed shout of a "Rev it!". Always happy to comply, of course

In terms of an actual F-Type feature, my current favourite is the deployable spoiler. It adds a bit of theatre to the drive, and being able to deploy and retract it manually is always fun in low(er) speed traffic haha
