It wasn't a supercharged Z06 in 2012. The Z06 was just a slightly hotted up LS3 developing 505 HP with duel mode exhaust instead of the 436 in the non Z06. I had both a Z06 and a standard C6, and both gave basically the same mileage. I think the 4 cylinder shut down at light loads came about with the LT1 engine and automatic transmission in the C7.
