Just wanna say hello to the forum. After a week of driving a few different F-Type, i went with the Base model. Reason is value for the money. I was able to get a smoking deal on a 42 month lease and after a week of ownership, i'm glad i went with the base.
When i first drove the car at the dealership, both the base and the S, I thought blehhh, it was not as quick as i thought it would be, then my salesman gave me the key to the R, holy crap, what a car, totally different animal. I immediatly fell in love with the R but i could not get the bank to give me a go on it, it was too much. Even with a $25k discount, the car still cost $100k. It was the R with Carbon brakes and loaded with options. So i looked at the S, then the Premium base, after a couple days of sleeping on it, i finally went with the Base of the base lol. To me there is no point spending almost 20k for the S and 10k for the premium. I dont care for pano roof, memory seats or active exhaust etc...All of that was not worth the extra money IMO. So after a week of driving the car, i found the sweet spot of the car, my whole driving experience with the car changed compare to the testdrives. I thought, wow this is a fairly quick car, definitely quicker than 5.1 0-60. It damped well, brake is a little weak but im planning to upgrade as soon as the aftermarket open up. I have so Much plan for this car. I dont think there is a coilover setup yet but i hope KW or Bilstein come out with something soon. As far as power, i'll probably do a pulley upgrade, custom X-pipe and tune. That will push this car
over 400hp, now imagine with coilovers, lighter wheels, R brakes, sticky tires, i think it can be a legitimate competitor to the 911 S
Congrats and welcome. Looks great. You'll find much in the way of advice and ideas on mods throughout the threads here. From springs to spacers, pulleys to tunes. Have fun.
JLR Newport Beach has good crew there. The service manager David Elliot, the shop foreman Jason Green and the GM Steve Brown..all good people to work with.

The V6 with a pulley&tune is a "holy crap" car. The R is really more "Holy Crap".(capitalized)

I agree, I've bought 4 new Cars from them since 2012, 3 Range Rover Sports and the F-Type. Always a stellar, easy experience.
Service is great, all the guys are good but I always deal with Sammy.
TKen, awesome looking Car, enjoy!! BTW, the service dept is on Dove, next to the Airport in case you didn't know.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Quick question, when will be the first oil change and what is the service interval? I know i'm covered through out the lease term but My finance guy didnt mention anything or even explain the details of the free maintenance program.

The free maintenance entails an annual service/oil change.

The Oil change interval is 12 months or 16k miles, whichever comes first.
